About Christine Goulbourne
Christine Goulbourne is a disability advocate, published author, speaker, and the founder of Sensory Friends — a growing community built on the belief that every voice matters and every story deserves to be told.
Christine lives in Florida with her husband Kirk and their family. As the mother of a young man with autism, she knows firsthand what it means to navigate special education systems, fight for inclusion, and never stop believing in the person in front of you. That journey shaped her as a mother and ignited a calling.

A Life of Advocacy
For over twenty years, Christine has served as a disability and inclusion advocate. She has attended countless IEP meetings alongside families, helping parents learn how to show up calm, confident, and collaborative — as equal partners in their child's education. She trains parents to know their rights, understand their options, and advocate boldly for their child's right to be educated and included.
Christine worked with and provided technical assistance to educators on how to write and develop programs that strengthened and increased parent involvement. She co-presented with leading experts at conferences on Positive Behavior Support — a strengths-based, compassionate approach to understanding and addressing challenging behavior. Her conflict resolution mindset has made her a trusted voice among educators, school administrators, and families alike.
She believes deeply that a child's success begins with meaningful parent involvement — and that advocacy doesn't end at the school door. It lives in our homes, our workplaces, our holiday tables, and our everyday lives.

Christine's love of writing started at ten years old when her mother gifted her a typewriter. She typed her first letter and never looked back.
That lifelong love of words has grown into something beautiful. Christine is the author of two faith-filled children's books — God, Can You Hear My Non-Speaking Voice? and The Rabbit in the Window — stories that invite young readers to see the world through the eyes of those who are often overlooked. She is also the creator of Faith Made Accessible, an adaptive Bible study curriculum designed for adults with disabilities — field-tested weekly with love, and rooted in the conviction that every person deserves to encounter God's Word.

A Blessed Family
Christine and her husband Kirk are a blended family with deep roots and good vibes. Kirk is Jamaican, Christine is a native New Yorker with Puerto Rican heritage — and in their home there is always good music, good food, and a whole lot of love.
Together they have three children. Samantha, their oldest, is happily married and has blessed Christine and Kirk with two grandchildren — Charlotte and Oliver. Their son Richie is smart, funny, and has autism; he has been Christine's greatest inspiration and the heartbeat behind everything she does. Their youngest, Tiki, is kind, sweet, and thoughtful. Christine believes God blessed her with a beautiful family.

Statement of Faith:
I believe in one God as the creator of heaven and earth who exists as the Holy Trinity; the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. I believe the bible is the true word of God and his gift of guidance to us for walking a righteous path, living by the word of the gospel. I believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God, who lived a sinless life, who performed miracles of goodness, who died for our sins and was resurrected, and is seated at the right hand of our Father.
