Bio
Christine is a special needs, storytelling mom who is an inclusion and special needs advocate. Being a special needs parent led Christine to dedicating her life to serving as an advocate for individuals and families of children with disabilities. Christine is a believer of creating inclusive communities, increasing student achievement with meaningful parent involvement practices, and helping parents to be well-informed about special education processes. Christine wants everyone to join the inclusion revolution.
Christine is an active member as an advocate in her community. She has served as a Board or Committee member of the Autism Society of Florida, ECTAC (East Coast Technical Assistance Center), NCLB (No Child Left Behind) Committee of Practitioners, ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) Committee of Practitioners, Florida PIRC (Parent Involvement Resource Center) Special Advisory Committee, The Association for Positive Behavior Support, The Florida Association for Positive Behavior Support, The Home and Community Positive Behavior Support, Project 10, Helping Hands – Hope for Autism and Neurological Disorders, several local Parent Support Groups, School and ESE (Exceptional Student Education) Advisory Councils of several School Districts in the state of Florida. Christine served as a Governor appointed member of the Florida Rehabilitation Council (they are charged with collaborating with Vocational Rehabilitation in helping individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain gainful employment. There is an FRC Council in every state).
Christine was selected by LATISM (Latinos in Tech Innovation and Social Media) as one of the Top Latina Digital Influencers for 2015 and 2016.

Christine has presented at the FND Heart and Hope Conference, Festival Miami Parent Conference, Florida DOE Parent Involvement Conference, SPARK (STAND Pinellas Accessing Resources Conference), The Family Café, Working Together to Support Positive Behavior Support Conference, International Association For Positive Behavior Support Conference, and The Great American Teach-in.
Christine is honored and thrilled to share her experiences in parenting a son with Autism and how their family deals with various issues collectively. Christine hopes her shared experiences and assistance provides comfort, confidence and inspiration to special needs parents so they can move forward as an informed and supported parent who is not alone.
