It’s been a year since I opened my ABLE United account for my son Richie and not only has our family been able to save and plan for Richie’s future, we have something we’ve never had before. We have peace of mind.
With more than 1,000 account holders, Floridians with disabilities are utilizing ABLE United accounts to save for a better future. We are happy our son Richie is one of those Floridians!   There was a time when individuals with disabilities could not save without the risk of losing Medicaid, Social Security Income, or other government assistance.   As a result of steadfast advocacy, ABLE United is Florida’s first program created after the passing of the ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) Act was signed into law nationally on December 19, 2014, and then in Florida on May 21, 2015. ABLE United gives individuals with disabilities the opportunity to save without losing their benefits.  If you or a loved has a disability, find out if you’re eligible and sign up easily online today – I did it in less than 15 minutes and I started Richie’s account with only $25.00!
In honor of its one year anniversary, ABLE United is also announcing that fees will continue to be waived until July 1, 2018. The savings opportunities just keep getting better with ABLE United! Learn more about the program and how you can start saving today for a better future tomorrow.

  2. Learn to find out if you are eligible by visiting the Eligibility Wizard.
  3. Create an account and begin saving today!
Visit the ABLE United website for more details! You can also keep up with other updates by visiting the ABLE United Facebook page.
